Club Crawl November 22, 2013

This week we headed out to PDX Natural Access, Northwest Health Center, and the Cannabis Common Sense. The show that tells truth about marijuana & the politics behind its prohibition. Live call in show Friday's, 8-9PM Pacific Time, 503-288-4448.

First stop, PDX Natural Access located at 3022 E Burnside St. Portland, OR 97214. These guys know how to treat patients! With two delicious medibles laid out for our enjoyment, and great company, this spot is always a hit. 

At the dab bar, much wax was enjoyed with the much talked about Chemdawg.

One new item on their menu is Space Kandy which is a cross of Cotton Candy Kush and Space Queen. This strain hasn't been tested for potency, but will be next week.

Next, we headed over to Northwest Health Center located at 6126 SE Duke St. Unit A Portland, OR 97206

Everyone enjoyed the laid back environment here and were treated to dabs and a Nebs lollipop. Patients were also able to get their medical cards laminated for $2 a page (8 cards fit on one page).

Last club stop of the night, Cannabliss. Located at 1917 SE 7th Ave. Portland, OR 97214. This eye catching club was previously known as a firehouse from 1891-1962. It has now been converted into one of the most enjoyed OMMP clubs in Portland. Check out the expansive menu with prices for every budget. With 4.6 out of 5 stars, it's sure to please.

After wrapping up our visit, we headed over to the Portland Community Media building to watch Paul Stanford's Cannabis Common Sense.

Club Crawl November 15, 2013 (CRRH Crew)

Since this week's tour was wiped out from people falling ill, we decided to save the big clubs and scope out some new ones. Focusing on clubs in SE Portland we were able to find three spots the vary from chill and intimate environment, to a set for entertainment social club. As always, meeting the club owners and staff was informative and enjoyable.

 

Our first stop of the night was Northwest Health Center located at 6126 SE Duke St. Portland 97206.  This place was great for multiple reasons. The owner is highly educated on the current events regarding marijuana prohibition, and offers patients petitions to sign for our legalization campaign. 

The lounge area is chill and has the vibe of hanging out at home with friends. Menu prices for medication are very low and affordable. There is a pretty good variety of flowers, concentrates, and medibles. You can also find lots of mary jane gear here.

Next stop was Rose City Oreganics located at 5134 SE Foster
Portland, OR 97206

This superstore version of a dispensary offers a vast selection of indoor and outdoor grown flowers, pristine clones, delicious and potent medibles, and personable staff that make the experience that much more fun. Menu prices are awesome for the packaging you get for your medicine. I personally love the glass jars and labels. There isn't a lounge area since this is one wide open space, but you are allowed to medicate. 

 

 I took some time to smell the flowers and spotted Blue Cheese which is one I had been wanting to try. We also saw some spectacular Pineapple Express up close and personal. Taking some home, I captured the beauty in the bud.

 

Last stop for the night was Alternative Wellness Center located at 5241 SE 72nd Ave. Portland 97206. These guys are really excited to be on our crawl tour. They have been under construction to beautify and add more to the social club environment. 

We were greeted with pre-rolls and a tour. The club is huge and offers two lounge rooms, one doubling as an entertainment venue complete with a stage, the bud room full of flowers, concentrates, and medibles at a great price.

Lots of fun to be had. Free campaign goodies! Workshops! Activism! And of course, free sampling of the finest medication in Portland has to offer.

George Washington grew hemp at Mount Vernon as one of his three primary crops. The use of hemp for rope and fabric was ubiquitous throughout the 18th and 19th centuries in the United States. Cannabis was among the first crops purposely cultivated by human beings at least 6,000 years ago, and perhaps more than 12,000 years ago. 

 


Medicinal preparations of cannabis became available in American pharmacies in the 1850s following an introduction to its use in Western medicine by William O'Shaughnessy a decade earlier in 1839.

Hemp prohibition is the result of propaganda by the petrochemical, cotton, and wood-based paper industries, who foresaw competition from hemp. Virtually anything that can be made from petroleum, can be made from hemp seed and other vegetable oils at a much lesser cost. Hemp fiber is many times more durable and resourceful than cotton or wood-based paper. 

As the most resourceful crop on earth, cannabis yields industrial hemp for canvas, oil, fiber, and paper among other things; a harmless medicine for gravely ill individuals; and a source of recreation for millions of people around the world. 

Club Crawl November 8, 2013

Our first Cannabis Club Crawl with the public was a success! Six OMMP patients and caregivers headed over to The Farmacy PDX  and The Green Remedy.

 

First stop was The Farmacy PDX, located at 19151 E Burnside (Behind Outrageous Audio)
Portland, OR 97233. After a quick check-in, we were invited to check out the dab bar. One of our touring patients did his first dab of some Blackberry Kush shatter, while others enjoyed trying the ChemDawg.

From the patient perspective, this was a great place to visit simply because of the knowledgeable staff. Multiple suggestions were given, leading to an impressive inventory on display. As a new patient, we were able to try what ever flower we chose. If you are in the East Portland/Gresham area, check them out.

Next, we headed over to The Green Remedy located at 12447 SE Powell Blvd.
Portland, OR 97236.

This place had an extensive selection of medicines in all different methods. Edibles, drinks, concentrates, flowers, and gifts. It was like a medicated candy store. In the lounge area, you are greeted by big comfy couches to sit and medicate or enjoy the flat screen. The staff were friendly,  knowledgeable, and able to make multiple suggestions for medication. $2 dab bar, and free pre roll for new patients with multiple kinds to choose from.
